How can we make art accessible to people who are blind or have low vision?

Bergen Internasjonale Teater and Bergen Kjøtt invite cultural organisations to a workshop focusing on making art and culture accessible to people who are blind or have low vision. The workshop is organised in collaboration with Kunsthuset Kabuso in Øystese and is part of the Tilgjengelighetsløftet project. By working across institutions, the project aims to contribute to a cultural sector that is richer, more diverse and more representative of the society we live in.

The day will offer inspiration from cultural organisations that are pushing the boundaries of physical accessibility, as well as experiences of making exhibitions accessible and insights into how audio description and tactile art can give more people the opportunity to experience cultural offerings that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Welcome to a day focused on sharing experiences, where we can inspire each other and develop accessibility practices in the arts.

Tilgjengelighetsløftet is supported by Vestland fylkeskommune and Balansepotten
