The Basement is about what is expressed when power relations are shifted. The solo performance is based on real events. The invisible is made visible, unimaginable and intense emotions that are difficult to describe in words. The dance follows intuition, allowing the body to
be able to express themselves physically and freely. Such freedom requires work and courage, and it burns to stretch beyond the boundaries set for what is acceptable, legitimate and beautiful.
