In Slamming three performers take us on a three-headed, six-armed, collective effort, driven by adrenaline and drenched in sweat, rage and tenderness.
They keep rearranging their moves, losing and finding each other, while constantly following the composer Giorgios Poulios’ sound image deep down into the depth of that feeling at a concert which is so absolutely alive and completely speechless.

Supported by the Onassis Stegi “Outward Turn” Cultural Export Program “Slamming” by Xenia Koghilaki was first presented in Athens as part of Onassis Dance Days Festival in 2024.
Xenia Koghilaki comes from Greece and works in the field of performing arts as a dancer and choreographer. She puts the body in the centre of her research interest, while her practice engages with issues of re-examining the moving body’s aesthetic, political and social aspects. She is a graduate of the Greek National School of Dance, the Architecture Department of the University of Patras and she holds an MA in “Solo/Dance/Authorship” from the University of the Arts Berlin (HZT Berlin). Her work has been presented in Onassis Dance Days, Tanztage Berlin, 8:tensions New Choreographers Series at Impulstanz Festival, among others. As a dancer she has collaborated with Kat Válastur, André Uerba, the Hellenic Dance Company and more. Xenia has been a danceWEB scholarship holder in 2021 and she was awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS in 2022.
