As part of the major European cooperation project DRIFT – Dance and Research In the Future Time, BIT presents the DRIFT Showcase in autumn 2026, featuring some of the most exciting choreographers working in the European performing arts field today.

Over two days, ten choreographers from across Europe and beyond participating in the DRIFT project will gather in Bergen to present excerpts from new works to local and international audiences.

DRIFT addresses a widely recognised challenge: while many mid-career choreographers are firmly established in their home countries, they often lack the support structures and opportunities needed to develop sustainable international careers. The project provides outstanding artists at this stage of their careers with time, resources, and opportunities for artistic development, exchange, and international visibility.

The choreographers presenting as part of the DRIFT Showcase are:

Guilhem Chatir (BE) Malika Djardi (FR) Moayed Elghazouani (TN) Christiana Kosiari (GR) Daria Hordiichuck (UA) Sheena McGrandles (DE) Ole Martin Meland (NO) Paloma Muñoz / SIBERIA (ES) Piny (PT) Miranda Secondari (IT)

PITCHING SESSIONS

As part of the DRIFT Showcase we continue the successful Pitching Sessions – a concept where Norwegian based artists give quick and concentrated insights into their working practices, important past projects and share interesting future plans.

For the 2026 edition of the Pitching Sessions these artists will present:
Harald Beharie
Carte Blanche / Mia Habib
Ingrid Berger Myhre
Mirte Bogaert
Mette Edvardsen
Ingri Fiksdal
Jassem Hindi
Susie Wang

The session will be moderated by Norwegian theatre, performance and dance researcher and critic Anette Therese Pettersen.
