There will be giant costumes and dance, haiku poetry and saxophone, transgressive lecture performance, soft sculpture, science and sound art! Much of it has never been seen, heard or experienced before\u2026 from participants Androniki, Dienke Groenhout, Frida Agger &#038; Mo Menz, Nina Eriksson, and Sean Minhui Tashi Chua with Ronja Fismen Michelsen.<\/p><\/div>                            <div class=\"start-2 end-11 start-s-1 end-s-12 grid rg-20 standard\"><\/div>\n                                                <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n\n\n    <section class=\"text-content section-padding-bottom transparent\">\n        <div class=\"grid-12 wrapper rg-50 rg-s-20 side-padding\">\n                                                    <div class=\"start-2 end-6  start-s-1 end-s-12 grid rg-20 standard acs\"><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Androniki\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Androniki was raised Greek Orthodox. Jesus loved her, a bit too much maybe. On the way, she got envious of those 5 virgins of the parable, who forgot to stock up on oil for the Bridegroom and were locked out of the wedding chamber. Now she aspires to become one of them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8216;Whole, away from Holiness&#8217;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Androniki takes up the preaching podium to tell her story, enriched with the use of archival material including photos, videos and SMS messages. A chantress, Chrysanthi Geropoulou, sings a traditional Greek tune honouring Androniki of the past, murdered for transgressing gender boundaries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The audiovisuals were developed during a residency at BEK &#8211; Bergen Center for Electronic Arts.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Content notice: the performance contains adult material including references to sexual assault.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dienke Groenhout\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dienke Groenhout is an artist\/theater maker who likes to wrap big themes in small stories. Her work likes to visually impress and leave you puzzled and thinking. There is humour in her work and often the audience plays a role without noticing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Pr\u00f8verommet, Dienke will try out some scenes for a new piece \u2018\u2026and god saw that it was almost good\u2019. We are in god&#8217;s work space where the latest creation is being tested with several try-out models. Is it a masterpiece? Or a total failure? When will it be good enough? In this try-out you will see some of god\u2019s samples; multiple connected creatures. How can they move? How will they develop?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With dancers: Lorena Olgu\u00edn, Katja Nyqvist, Malin Vangsnes Weaver, Eli Aurland S\u00e6le, Ewa Lorenc, Ine Terese Hogstad and Joana Vil\u00e0 Soriano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project has been developed during an artist residency at USF Verftet.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frida Agger and Mo Menz\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are Frida and Mo. Mo: I love music and play saxophone and some other instruments. I like swimming in the cold sea, coffee, cooking, deep talk, doing weird things with old computers and having good people around me. Frida: I love to read and write, sundays, to swim in the rain, to observe my surroundings through a lens of words and to be around people. We are excited to work with human connections through the performance, with the people coming to the venue and each other.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A performance based on readings of haiku poems, improvised saxophone playing and connecting through arts. Based on the belief that love isn\u2019t a cake, but a sourdough, that only grows, when you share it. And that listening is more important than fully understanding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Content notice: the performance involves some light audience participation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <div class=\"start-7 end-11  start-s-1 end-s-12 grid rg-20 standard acs\">\n                    <h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nina Eriksson\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nina Eriksson&#8217;s work gives space to evasive, contradicting and malleable narratives of queerness and desire. Working in soft sculpture and text, she investigates what a queer sculptural and textual vernacular can be. Recently, her work with temporality, writing, and sculpture has led her to live performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To Pr\u00f8verommet, Eriksson brings a second trial of the performance\u00a0\u2019butch renaissance tear well: gay jobs\u2019. The work employs\u00a0fiction and humour to talk about the demands of capitalist structures, and touches on fetishisation of productivity: Is productivity the same as pleasure? Is pleasure the same as purpose?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Content notice: the performance features partial nudity, and a brief mention of sexual harassment. It does not involve audience participation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sean Minhui Tashi Chua with Ronja Fismen Michelsen<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Sean Minhui Tashi Chua is a multidisciplinary scientist and artist working across earth observation and data science with a focus on polar regions, sound and immersive storytelling. He is a researcher at the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center in Bergen. Ronja Fismen Michelsen&#8217;s multidisciplinary work seeks to strip off layers of conditioning, revealing that which is raw and human.<\/p>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">At Pr\u00f8verommet we will take part in a world building exercise where sound, texture and movement interplay with narrative composition. The wind whirls and howls outside while we<\/span> drift into dreams. It is a space to try out new artistic material in front of an audience, using any medium: dance, theatre, poetry, visual art, music\u2026 there have been almost 2500 projects presented so far!
