Where identity and power are constantly negotiated and mutating, unraveling a porous and unstable surface opening up for rituals, new ways of togetherness and uncanny play.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n                                                <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n\n\n    <section class=\"text-and-image section-padding-bottom transparent\">\n        <div class=\"grid-12 wrapper rg-50 side-padding\">\n            <div class=\"start-1 end-12 start-s-1 end-s-12 grid-12 acs js cg-30 cg-s-0\">\n                <div class=\"text-column start-1 end-5 start-s-1 end-s-12 row-1 row-s-1 grid rg-30 acs js standard\">\n                    \n                    <div class=\"start-1 end-12 grid\"><h2>Bio<\/h2>\n<p>Harald Beharie\u00a0is a Norwegian-Jamaican performer and choreographer based in Oslo, Norway.\u202f\u202fBeharie\u2019s practice and choreographies often emerge in the tension between the everyday and the extreme, the banal and the sacred, playing with transformation as a continuous principle, for both the body and the spaces they move through. At the core lies a desire to challenge how we sense reality. Their\u00a0works explore how queerness and the body can act as a medium and a site for revolt, ecstasy and dissolution. They hold a special interest for the DIY and the vulnerability of being in the unknown.\u00a0Beharie is interested in how the body can function as a motor for dramaturgy, a force in itself that transforms through practice.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Haralds work has received nominations for the Norwegian Critics prize for the performances\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Shine Utopians<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0with Louis Schou (2020) and the solo work\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Batty Bwoy<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0(2022).
