Pr\u00f8verommet is BIT’s experimental arena \u2013 a playground for all creative people in Bergen. This unique and beloved concept has been around since 1998 and provides a low-threshold environment for trying out new artistic material in front of an audience. Dance, theatre, poetry, visual art, music; all formats are welcome! In the spring of 2026, Pr\u00f8verommet will appear every month in completely different venues, from Galleri Kronborg at Rundemannen mountain to the research vessel Atlas initiatief.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n\n

The upcoming season\u00a0of\u00a0Pr\u00f8verommet\u00a0will be\u00a0filled with\u00a0more-than-usual excitement because most* events will take place <\/span>inside Sentralbadet Scenekunsthus<\/span><\/i>, before the official opening in March 2027. This means\u00a0 that Pr\u00f8verommet participants will not only be experimenting with new works; they will be\u00a0testing out the infrastructure of BIT\u2019s\u00a0brand\u00a0new\u00a0venue.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This testing period presents exciting opportunities, to be some of the first artists making their marks in the building, as well as more-than-usual unpredictability! Changes and adaptations might be necessary at short notice.<\/span><\/p>\n
