Every time you eat, your mouth interacts with fragments from the world outside your body. Your mouth opens up, like a portal, orchestrating a welcoming ceremony with saliva and teeth, jaws and tongues… The student duo Zaïda/Frang invite visitors to an audio-gustatory installation where the scenography is edible, where experiencing is eating and eating is listening. Sounds like chewing and licking are explored and amplified.

Bio

Ingerid Frang is a scenographer with a background from architecture. In her work she explores how to situate audiences in immersive or interactive installations. Helena Zaïda’s scenographic work has a strong focus on materiality, sensory experiences and multispecies collaboration. Her background is in theatre and stage design. The duo met at the Norwegian Theatre Academy as students in MA Scenography. The development of slllp slllp wwhhup grew out of a common interest in audienceinteraction and non-verbal communication. This project is the second collaboration between the two scenographers.
