A collaboration between BIT and Bergen Kunsthall where students and teachers from the Norwegian Theatre Academy will work in Bergen Kunsthall’s Live Studio throughout the festival. Here, the students will develop prototypes for scenography and space-based performative concepts. They will show two works during the process: A performance by Vilde Stensland Vinje about the changing shoreline of Bergen, and a whole afternoon with Zaïda/Frang and their responsive and edible scenography.
The Norwegian Theatre Academy in Fredrikstad offers a research and study environment within performance, scenography and theatre in the expanded field of performing arts. Students explore the intersections between art and society, in collaboration with internationally active guest artists and teachers. The values that characterize the education are based on listening, collaboration, being wrong, innovative thinking around material relationships, exploration and play. The Norwegian Theatre Academy will be closed down in June 2026.
