A wonderful evening with Pernilleprisen

On Sunday evening, 8 February, awards were presented and theatrical joy was spread when large parts of the city’s performing arts community came together to celebrate the performing arts year 2025 at Det Vestnorske Teateret. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and congratulations to the worthy award winners:

Winner of the Pernille Statue: Alan Lucien Øyen
Winner of the Rampeløkten Award: Finn Tokvam
Winner of the Critics’ Award: Fuglane, produced by Det Vestnorske Teateret
Winner of the Audience Award: Bjarte Hjelmeland

It was also a pleasure to see Spreafico Eckly’s humorous and whimsical performance Mario & Raoul, which premiered at METEOR 2025, through a beautiful interlude by the Ole Bull Chamber Choir.

The Pernille Prize is both a celebration and a reflection: a tribute to the breadth of the field, to the slow work and to the importance of performing arts in the public sphere. This year, the evening was once again filled with seriousness, humour and strong artistic expressions!
