Atlas initiatief
Here is an overview concerning accessibility and facilities at Atlas Iniatief
Building Access
The ship is not accessible by wheelchair, and entering the ship can be difficult. It will be possible to experience parts of the programme during Prøverommet from the quay.
A steel, anti-slip staircase with a handrail is attached to the side of the ship. Visitors board directly from the quay, stepping across a small gap between the quay and the stairs. Because of the tide, the height and angle of the stairs vary. Staff will assist the audience on board during the event. The threshold at the ship’s entrance is 40 cm high, and inside there are several thresholds ranging from 3 cm to 28 cm. Doorway width: 44 cm
The event room is not on the entrance level; visitors reach it via a wooden staircase.
Toilets
The ship has one all-gender toilet.
There are no accessible toilet facilities, and the doorway width is 70 cm with an 8 cm threshold.
Public Transport
The nearest bus stop are Damsgårdsveien 39, Møhlenpris and Florida all within 900 meters away. The nearest light-rail stop is Florida.
Parking and Drop-off
There is a large paid parking area in front of the ship, suitable for temporary drop-off and pick-up.
Assistive Listening Systems / Audio Induction Loop
There are no Assistive Listening Systems in use.
Service Dogs
Service dogs are welcome on board.
Quiet Zone
If desired, it is possible to find a quiet zone with reduced sensory stimulation. Staff will be able to assist you.
