Here is an overview concerning accessibility and facilities at BEK.
Building Access
BEK is located on the 9th floor of C. Sundts gate 55. There is no step-free access from street level.
A small elevator goes to the 8th floor, followed by 9 steps up to BEK. Alternatively, a larger elevator goes to the 8th floor, followed by 15 steps to the 9th floor.
Due to the layout of the building, BEK is unfortunately not suitable for people who rely on a wheelchair for mobility.
Small elevator: width 75 cm × depth 70 cm
Doorway widths:
Toilets: 70 cm (8 cm threshold)
Project room: 80 cm
Balcony: 65 cm
Toilets
BEK’s toilet facilities are open for everyone to use.
There are no accessible toilet facilities, and there is an 8 cm threshold at the entrance to the toilet area.
Public Transport
The nearest bus stop is Tollbodallmenningen, approximately 150 metres away. Torget is located about 1000 metres away.
Parking and Drop-off
There are no designated accessible parking spaces at BEK.
It is possible to temporarily park or drop off passengers directly outside the building.
Assistive Listening Systems / Audio Induction Loop
There are no Assistive Listening Systems in use.
Guide Dogs and Service Dogs
Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome at BEK.
Quiet Zone
If desired, it is possible to find a quiet zone with reduced sensory stimulation. Staff will be able to assist you.
